Calvert Recorder Coverage of Coalition's Appeal of Armory Square Decision
This week, the Calvert Recorder ran an article about the Coalition's appeal of the Armory Square decision. Full details of the appeal will be available once the briefs are filed, which will occur after the record is submitted to the Court by the County Commissioners' office. A court date is not expected until the end of the year or beginning of 2017.
This package contains all of the information presented by staff at the Joing Public Hearing. Included are "slides" which explain the purpose of the amendments, etc. The actual text amendments are also included in the package.
A public Charrette was held in June 2013 under the premise that the results would be used as a basis to begin rewriting the Prince Frederick Master Plan. However, work on a new Plan was halted and changes to the Zoning Ordinance were proposed instead. If you read the results, you will see how vastly different the proposed changes and proposed development are to the vision the people expressed at the Charrette!
